Feeling Giddy in Office hours? May be this can help!

Giddiness in Work Place

Often times, when we do not get adequate sleep at night or are going through a particularly stressed out situation at our work place, we start to feel giddy in the office hours. The dizziness seems to get us down. It feels like quitting the work and lying down to take a nap for a couple of hours. In such a situation, how can you tackle the dizziness? Well, following are some of the easiest things, we have compiled for you, which you can do to get rid of this undesirable and untimely sleepiness.

1. Hydrate yourself

This one is perhaps the easiest thing one can do to alleviate the sleepiness. Staying hydrated can make you feel more active. If the fluid level in the body falls below a certain level, it makes us feel dizzy and weak. It is highly advisable to take sips of water time to time. But if you are feeling giddier right now, then go and grab a glass of water to rejuvenate your energy so that you are up and running to perform better in the office hours.

2. Breath Deeply

Psychological pressure can make you feel stressed. Stress can be a killer to your internal energy. So, it is useful to get rid of the root cause than just treating the symptoms. And one of the most effective instant stress-busters is taking deep breathes. Filling your lungs with lot of oxygen revitalizes the mind and the body alike. The heart pumps the fresh, oxygen-carrying blood to brain and other parts of the body which is an instant refresher. And above all, it takes less than a minute to perform this activity and feel the renewed energy flowing down in your veins.

3. Wash Your Hands and Face

This simple thing, i.e. washing your face and hands and, if possible, feet also, can work wonders. The giddy feeling can be controlled to a great extent by this simple trick. Do not get deceived by its simplicity. If you are underestimating the power of this simple thing, then just give it a try. The moment you will splash the water on your face, you will feel the tiredness flowing down your face and hands into the drain.

4. Stretch a bit

Stretching improves blood circulation in the body. The improved blood flow in the body injects positive energy and refreshes mind and body. If you are feeling low at your work place and do not feel like going to drink some water and wash your face and hand, then try this little thing while sitting on your desk to press F5 on your body and mind system.

5. Grab a cup of Tea or Coffee

Hmm, you were anxiously looking for this point. Right? This is the most common way among most of us to bid adieu the sleepiness for shorter intervals. Rather, for many, it has become a sort of addiction. And some of you might as well be thinking that why this particular point has been ranked so low? Well, all the other methods discussed so far are completely natural and use the normal physiological, psychological or physical response of human body to leverage you a bit more energy out of your own stock. But pouring the nicotine or caffeine down your gut can lead towards addiction, which is definitely not good. So this particular practice, despite being so much ubiquitous, should be avoided and only be exercised if other methods seem to be ineffective for your current situation. Nevertheless, tea and coffee can switch your mind on within seconds. So this is mostly the preferred technique, if not much healthy.

Ending Note

In the end, just to sum up the post, I believe that none of the above mentioned tidbits can account for a good night sleep. So if you are not getting it, then perhaps it is the time to make some serious amendments to your routine. Further, if you are taking adequate sleep but still feel tired whole day long, then it might indicate some health issue, and you should consult your doctor for proper medical advice. However, first four tips are quite risk-free and can be safely incorporated in normal routine to reap some more benefits of your busy schedule. Remember, a good healthy routine can make you more happy and contented and can instill much more positive energy in you.
